Kathy has been serving seniors most of her life. She started as a candy striper in a rural hospital that was both acute care and long term care. Little did she know that experience, along with a loving grandmother who retired at 75, would spur her to the career she loves today.
After graduating college from Eastern Kentucky University, she began her career in healthcare marketing but inevitably found her calling in serving seniors. While her passion is memory care, Kathy believes the same principles that we apply to serving those with memory loss should apply to all our advancing population – value the individual with dignity and respect, never stop creating new experiences or memories, and always validate who they are and the life they’ve lived.
Kathy is the proud step-mother to three beautiful grown “children” and 5 grandchildren, and aunt to over 50 nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great (!) nieces and nephews. Kathy and her four-legged son, Beau, live in The Villages.
