Wine Tasting

A variety of wines are part of the Watercrest experience to be enjoyed in our intimate bistro or while relaxing poolside before dinner. Whether sipping on our private label wines or tasting new wines paired with flatbreads, charcuterie or scrumptious desserts, your senses will be enlivened.

Experience the pleasure of a cold, crisp Chardonnay on a hot summer evening or the warmth of a rich Cabernet Sauvignon on a cool, autumn night. Elegance and luxury should not be sacrificed once you move into assisted living. In keeping with our Platinum Standard of resort style dining, Watercrest is about providing choices while indulging all of your senses.

There are five basic steps in tasting wine: color, swirl, smell, taste, and savor. These are also known as the “five S” steps: see, swirl, sniff, sip, and savor. During this process, a taster must look for clarity, varietal character, integration, expressiveness, complexity, and connectedness. The qualities of wine tasting parallel the essence of Watercrest communities, adding a depth of sophistication while celebrating life’s simple pleasures.
