Joy’s love for older adults came at a young age as she grew up in a neighborhood with a large population of seniors. She spent evenings and weekends helping them with whatever they needed. In return, they taught her much about The Bible, sewing, cooking and many things that shaped her life. She learned quickly they had great life stories to share and all they needed was someone to listen.

Joy started her healthcare journey as a marketing director for a small nursing home, and her love of this industry grew quickly. Marketing and sales brought her great happiness, however she had a wonderful mentor who encouraged her to pursue her Nursing Home Administrators License. She achieved her Nursing Home Administrator License in 2007 and her Residential Care Facility License in 2016. As her career thrived, she was recruited to a regional role and enjoyed traveling for several years. She finds her greatest joy in assisting families as they look for a new home for a loved one.

Joy is the proud mother of a son, Eli who is a paramedic and a daughter, Mary, who recently graduated with a degree in social work. Joy is the youngest of 7, she has 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She lives in Fort Mill, SC, however she is originally from Princeton, WV.

Family and faith is most important to her. She enjoys spending time having family dinners, playing board games, bowling, dancing, camping, fishing, and really anything as long as it’s with her loving family and faithful friends.
