marc vorkapich, principal & chief executive officer

Marc's calling to senior living began in 1991 during a volunteer experience that

instilled a passion for ensuring excellence in serving seniors.  Since then, Marc

has honed his skills working with some of the nation's leading health care providers.

His expertise includes leading start up and turnaround initiatives, sales and

operations management, and the development of SERVANT Leaders.

Today, Marc brings to Watercrest Senior Living Group more than 20 years of

accomplishment in acute care, long-term residential, and outpatient settings. In

his capacity as VP of Sales and Marketing over the past decade, Marc developed

the "RISE model" to drive a collaborative approach to strategic planning. Working

with teams in identifying opportunities for improved performance Marc has launched

reorganization strategies resulting in explosive census growth during times of

economic downturn and industry-wide occupancy decline.

As Chief Operating Officer and then President and CEO, Marc continued to focus

his efforts on cultivating Servant Leaders. Under his leadership, his teams have

enjoyed dramatic improvements in Net Operating Income (NOI), undergone

successful culture change and won 7 American Graphic Design Awards for

marketing excellence.

As President and CEO of a highly regarded regional operating company, Marc

was honored to receive the Servant Leadership Award from his colleagues in

recognition of his significant contributions in successfully driving culture change

across the company. When asked which of his many achievements stand out most,

he is quick to reference the copious promotions he had the pleasure of offering to

inspiring leaders over the years. “I am so very blessed to work alongside of people

who inspire me,” says Vorkapich. “There are so many passionate people who have

the potential to achieve amazing things for our seniors as we look into the future

of senior living. It is both humbling and exciting to be a part of the future of the

senior living industry.”

Marc holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from Virginia Tech and

is currently considering thesis topics in completion of a Masters in Health Care

Administration from Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, Marc is driven

to publish the "RISE Model" as well as other practical applications of Value

Centered Leadership for aspiring executives. Residing in Vero Beach, Florida,

Marc is blessed with the love of his life, Kathryn, their son, Chandon, daughters,

Palmer and Saylor.
